Faith is a crucial component of our relationship with God. However, many of us may wonder what faith truly means and how we can cultivate it without any doubts. And how can a person have a faith that works to please God? Where does faith come from? And what role does it play when we strive to rely on God’s promises?
Through a study of Hebrews chapters 11 and 12, we can gain great insight into the role of faith in our lives and the salvation of our souls. And we can grow to have an enduring faith that will help us reach the goal of Heaven.

THE FAITH TO WALK WITH GOD (Hebrews 11:5): A lesson about Enoch and how faith must be part of our daily walk with God. Enoch was DRIVEN by Divine things, had a DESIRE to be DELIVERED from DEATH, and had no DOUBTS when it came to the existence of DEITY and knew that it only pays DIVIDENDS to DILIGENTLY seek after God.

THE FAITH TO WORK FOR GOD (Hebrews 11:7): A lesson about Noah and how faith must work in order to be pleasing to God. Noah SCULPTED the ark by faith, through faith he was SAVED, and through faith he became a SUCCESSOR of righteousness.

FAITH IN THE PROMISES OF GOD (Hebrews 11:11-12). A lesson about how Abraham and Sarah’s faith in the PROMISES of God helped them through difficult times. It expounds upon the ideas of how God addresses man’s concern with promises, why God only gives us promises, and how we must have the PATIENCE to wait on God’s promises.

FAITH & THE TESTS OF LIFE (Hebrews 11:17-19). A lesson about God’s test of Abraham’s faith by telling him to offer up his only son Isaac. It examines how Abraham’s faith was under SCRUTINY: his faith was tested by a physical SACRIFICE as well as his SPIRITUAL understanding. It then expounds upon Abraham’s test when SURVEYED by faith: faith always kneels in SUBMISSION before God, counts God’s wisdom and knowledge higher than SELF and gets SMARTER by relying upon revelation.
Tuesday Evening Study: 7:00 p.m.
THE FAITH THAT CONQUERS (Hebrews 11:30-40). A lesson about how faith isn’t tucking our tail and running, but standing firm and thus conquering life. Faith caused the wall of Jericho to PLUMMET, faith conquers when we have success over PROBLEMS and faith conquers when we PERSEVERE through great suffering.
Wednesday Evening Study: 7:00 p.m.
HAVING AN ENDURING FAITH (Hebrews 12:1-3). A lesson examining how to help us make sure that our faith endures to the end. It examines the CONTEXT of the Christian life: a race, what will CRIPPLE our running, and some CONTEMPLATIONS for endurance.
Meet Clint Yarber
Clint Yarber was born in Mountain View, MO and currently lives in Moody, MO. He graduated from the Memphis School of Preaching in January of 1999. He has been married to his wife, Melynni for 20 years. Together they have one son, Joshua who is 17 years old and 2 daughters: Leah who is 14 and Abigail who is 12.
Clint has been preaching the gospel for 25 years and currently labors with the Gospel Hill Church of Christ in Pottersville, MO where he has been working for the last 15 years.
