Clean, respectable first edition, sixteenth printing hardcover from 1972. Good overall condition. Pages are clean and unmarked. Binding is snug and solid. Full cloth cover is clean and bright with light edge wear, more so at spine ends and tips, otherwise no suff6iy cient flaws. Back flyleaf has been removed and front flyleaf has a partially obscured stamp and a light adhesive shadow. Text block edges are lightly toned, showing a few age specks. Meanwhile a small cluster of pages show a moisture mark at bottom fore-edge corner. Overall a tight, respectable, relatively well-preserved copy that has aged lightly and evenly. Packaged with care and shipped via USPS Media Mail.

Despite these external signs of use, the overall structural integrity of the hardcover remains strong, with the binding firm and all pages securely attached. The text block’s edges show natural age-toning, a consistent, light discoloration characteristic of paper from this period, with very faint indications of foxing on the top edge.
